Use the size chart for the exact rug and confirm how its measurements are taken. Keep sizing, washing and storage checks separate; a familiar size label is not enough to establish fit.
Do not convert rug sizes by guesswork
Retail labels may use feet and inches, centimetres or a brand-specific size designation. Those labels can refer to different measuring methods. Ask which points the manufacturer measures between and use its chart rather than relying on a universal conversion table.
Prepare the information you need
- The full rug model and supplier code.
- The selected size exactly as written on the listing.
- The manufacturer's measurement diagram or explanation.
- Your horse's measurement taken by that method.
- The returns conditions and how to assess fit before use.
Read the care label before buying
Think about whether you can maintain the rug as directed. A bulky lined rug may need different handling from a fleece design. Do not choose a wash temperature, detergent or tumble-drying cycle until the model's instructions confirm it is suitable. Decorative trim, lining and hardware may impose additional limits.
Assess the complete rug
When it arrives, match the model and size label to your order. Check the supplied fastenings and any removable straps. Follow the supplier's fitting and return guidance; do not use an unsuitable rug and hope that washing will change its size or shape.
Store only after the care process is complete
Clean and fully dry the rug as directed before putting it away. Keep removable parts with the correct model and label the storage bag if several rugs look alike. Inspect the fabric and closures before the next use rather than discovering damage when the rug is urgently needed.
Use the model-specific size chart and care instructions for the Waldhausen Exclusive, Modern Rose or Nepal rug. We will not infer a horse measurement from a packaged dimension or treat the sizes of different models as automatically interchangeable.
