Bring wearable microcurrent technology into your horse's care routine with the ArcEquine Complete Kit. ARC Microtech describes ArcEquine as a rechargeable, drug-free and non-invasive device designed to support equine recovery, comfort and natural tissue repair.

What does ArcEquine do?

ArcEquine delivers very low-level electrical currents through carbon rubber pads held against the skin by a leg strap. The manufacturer describes these currents as subsensory, meaning the horse does not feel them during operation. The unit is worn on a healthy lower leg; the manufacturer explains that it does not need to sit directly over the affected area.

Its compact, wearable design and automated programmes make it practical for use in the stable or as part of an everyday yard routine.

How to fit ArcEquine to your horse

  1. Charge before first use. Use the supplied charger or an approved ArcEquine replacement.
  2. Prepare the leg. Choose clean, dry, healthy skin without creams or lotions.
  3. Assemble the strap. Align the liner with the strap's press studs and fasten the carbon rubber pads into place.
  4. Apply conductive gel. Put a small amount of ArcEquine gel onto each pad to establish electrical contact.
  5. Fit the unit. Place it in the strap pouch, connect the lead securely and position the unit on the outside of the cannon bone. Fasten comfortably without overtightening.
  6. Start your session. Turn the unit on, select the programme and activate it with the right-hand Play button.

Simple controls and automatic sessions

Hold the left button for three seconds to turn the device on. Quick presses of that button move through the programme choices. Once activated, a green Play indicator shows electrical connectivity; red means the connection needs attention. Check the lead, pad contact and gel if it shows red.

The manufacturer changed programme options in 2026, so session lengths and programme selection must match your unit. Use the controls and programme schedule supplied with that model. The device ends its completed cycle automatically.

Reusable equipment for regular care

Move the strap to a different healthy leg after each session. Wipe the pads clean with warm water after use. The liner is hand-washable; the wired leg strap must not be washed. Use only manufacturer-approved pads, gel and accessories.

Use alongside your horse's veterinary care

Do not fit the device over broken or irritated skin or use it in wet conditions. Stop if your horse develops discomfort or a skin reaction. Veterinary approval is needed for pregnancy or suspected or diagnosed cancer, epilepsy or heart conditions. ArcEquine complements veterinary care and does not replace it.
