Chicken Crunch Bites (Dogs)

Oven-baked • High-reward training treat

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup oats, blended into flour
  • ¼ cup pumpkin purée (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. Mix chicken, egg and oat flour in a bowl. Stir in pumpkin purée.
  3. Roll into small bite-sized balls or flatten into mini biscuits.
  4. Bake for 15–18 minutes until firm and lightly golden.
  5. Cool completely before serving.

Storage: Refrigerate for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.

Crunchy Carrot & Oat Biscuits (Dogs)

Sensitive-tummy friendly

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Water as needed

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170 °C (340 °F).
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Add a little water at a time until the mix holds together.
  4. Form small biscuit shapes and place on a lined tray.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes until crisp.
  6. Allow to cool fully before storing.

Tuna Melt Cat Treats

Soft, savoury bites for cats

Ingredients

  • 1 can tuna in water, drained
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp plain flour

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. Mash tuna, egg and flour together until smooth.
  3. Drop small teaspoons of mixture onto a lined baking tray.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  5. Cool completely, then break into tiny pieces if needed.

Tip: Perfect for training or as a special weekend treat.

Peanut Butter Pup Pops (No-Bake)

Frozen summer treat • Dogs

Ingredients

  • ½ cup xylitol-free peanut butter
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup plain yoghurt

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Pour into ice cube trays or silicone moulds.
  3. Freeze for 3–4 hours or until solid.
  4. Serve as a cooling snack on hot days.
